Objective
The Safety Administrator supports the operation of the Safety team in the effort to comply with Federal, State, and Company regulations to provide our employees with a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform background checks and coordinate drug testing for new hires and various jobsite requirements
Complete all required written documentation
Perform Toolbox Safety Talks as needed
Provide training for all new hires and training of current employees to meet site-specific safety requirements
Complete daily reporting on tasks completed, submitting to the Safety Director weekly
Submit accident and investigation reports
Assist in gathering information and filling out job prequalification’s
Provide information concerning any current or potential safety/health hazards
Advise department of trends in injuries and proper safety procedures that may result in reduction of injuries
Responsible for ensuring required trainings are conducted for managers and employees
Works closely with leadership team members through emails and phone calls as necessary to ensure that all required information is collected and reported
Inspect and document safety equipment
Upkeep of employee safety files
Administrative duties including taking safety meeting minutes, JSAs, SOPs and tracking employee training requirements
Ensure the completeness and maintenance of all records, documents or reports relating to assigned safety and health programs
Assist Fleet Manager with duties such as coordinating vehicle pickups, handling titles and registrations, and working with banking documentation; must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal
The ability to work both independently and within a team
Detailed time management and the ability to multi-task
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (building formulas), PowerPoint, etc.…
Work Environment Considerations
Sit at a desk/computer for up to 8 hours a day
Hours may often exceed 40 per week to perform duties effectively
Work will be both in/outdoors; construction sites will typically have more challenging access and terrain
Must be familiar with job site safety requirements and be prepared to wear a hardhat, work boots, goggles, and other required PPE at potentially hazardous job sites
From time to time, may have to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, walk uneven terrain at construction jobsites and be comfortable with heights

Qualifications and Education Requirements
1-2 years’ experience in field construction safety preferred, but not required
OSHA 30 preferred, but not required
First Aid/CPR certification preferred, but not required
Valid Driver’s license with clean driving history
