Objective
Drivers must remain on the approved driving list and ensure that loads are delivered safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote safety at all times, which includes complying with all Federal, State, and Local highway laws, responsibly utilizing assigned personal protective equipment, etc.
Inspect loads and secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service/repair status while following applicable state and federal regulations
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify instructions and routes
Assist in warehouse/fabrication shop clean-up
Overnight travel may be required
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions
Operational competency of necessary equipment
Time management, problem-solving skills, and performance analysis of one’s self, others, or affiliated organizations
The ability to see details at a distance and at close range, and to judge the distances between oneself and of several objects
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
Work Environment Considerations
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and walk uneven terrain at job sites
Must be capable of safely lifting 80lbs
Hours may often exceed 40 per week to perform duties effectively

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Current/Valid Driver’s License Class A CDL (or the ability to receive one within 60 days)
Clean driving record
