Our Sheet Metal team continues to grow and is looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, organized individual to be their next rock star! You will be joining a great group of hard working and extremely fun people!!


The Sheet Metal Utility Worker will monitor and organize tools, consumables, and deliveries while assisting pre-apprentices and foremen in daily sheet metal activities.

The Sheet Metal Utility Worker upholds the company’s core values of integrity, service, leadership, empowerment, and innovation while demonstrating a dedicated and results-driven work ethic.


Your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):


  • Receive and unload inbound freight, which involves tagging the correct job number, notifying the PM, and racking cargo in a safe and orderly manner

  • Prepare material for outbound deliveries and assist pre-apprentices with loading trucks

  • Ensure proper tool check-in and check-out and monitor tool conditions to comply with safety standards

  • Clean the shop and organize the back lot

  • Load coils on the coil line

  • Repair small tools and shop equipment

  • Industrial painting and application

  • Gather hardware and consumables for outbound deliveries

  • Stock inventory for the shop consumables

  • Aid in multi-purpose shop maintenance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal

  • The ability to work both independently and within a team

  • A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented mindset

  • Refined time management skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills


Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in high-pressure situations facing strict deadlines

  • Must be familiar with job site safety requirements and be prepared to wear a hardhat, work boots, and goggles at potentially hazardous job sites

  • Work on construction sites will typically have more challenging access and terrain
