Employee Benefits

 Employees get 3% of their salary contribution from the company. Modern also contributes a 50% match up to 2% of the employee contribution.


Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield: Employees and dependents are eligible to participate in our high-deductible health plan with 3 different plans to choose from; 1 HDHP-HMO and 2 HDHP’s- PPO


Employees are eligible to contribute pre-tax dollars, via payroll deduction, to pay for dental/vision expenses if participating in the high-deductible health plan OR to pay for medical expenses if not enrolled in a high-deductible health plan. 

Flexible Spending

Modern Companies provides an annual HSA contribution of $750 for single and family plans. Employees also have the option to make their own pre-tax contributions up to the annual IRS maximum. 

Health Savings

We provide employer-paid basic Term Life insurance through Reliance Standard.  Modern Companies also provides a basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance equal to the life insurance amount, at no cost to you.

Term Live / AD&D

Employees receive 100% employer-paid short-term and long-term disability.


As of the start date, employees receive 15 vacation days for each full calendar year. Additional vacation is accrued with time.

Paid Time Off

Employees are eligible for holiday pay for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
