Role and Responsibilities
Compressed Air Technicians are responsible for all aspects of air compressor and air compressor products. Responsibilities include understanding several models of air compressor and air compressor products for installation, trouble shooting service/maintenance opportunities. Compressed Air Technicians work in the field directly with our customers and must maintain a neat and professional appearance, be well spoken, enthusiastic, resourceful and professional.
This technician will cover the state of Iowa, we prefer someone based out of the Marshalltown area, but are open to any location within Iowa.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude. Able to identify electrical services.
Must be able to complete tasks in a timely, self-directed manner.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to keep others informed.
Current driver’s license with a good driving record.
Ability to read plans and understand compressor/air compressor products mechanical components and air piping.
In-state & occasional minor out of state travel is required. (Up to 20% overnights)
Maintain positive customer relations while resolving concerns and answering questions.
Performs troubleshooting, understands repair, and preventative maintenance.
Performs energy audits and provide leak detection surveys of existing customer systems.
Maintains a safe and secure working environment by following codes, regulations, safe practices, Modern safety requirements, and owner safety requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of Compressor and Air Compressor Products.
Strong communication skills.
Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet project deadlines
Attention to accuracy and detail with the ability to find errors and make corrections
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma
Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the compressed air industry preferred, but not required.
A Compressed Air Technician is required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, and reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to frequently climb ladders and use lifts, working in and elevated position
On a frequent basis, must safely lift up to 80 pounds, carry and maneuver heavy or awkward components
Most time will be in the field at customer locations
Must be familiar with the job site safety requirements and wear a hard hat, work boots, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites when required
