The Historic Millworking District in downtown Dubuque was once the heart of the city’s venerable manufacturing trade overlooking the Mississippi River, consisting of foundries, window and door manufacturers, and an ironworks. Over the years the manufacturers moved on or outgrew the Millworking District.
Today, business and the economy continue to expand and thrive along with its need for unique, urban living spaces. Conceptualized as a complete renovation of a 216,000 s.f. of warehouse space in the historic Millwork district, Novelty Iron Works is being transformed into a 124-unit residential complex that will feature a unique energy usage interface allowing residents to monitor and augment their individual energy consumption. Modern Piping Inc. is designing installing all of the plumbing and mechanical systems for this historic renovation. The complex will also include retail space, including a wellness and fitness facility, as well as future retail tenant space.Modern Piping, Inc.
